I think the winter months and cold weather make me anti-social because I can't seem to think of anything to say to almost anyone. Even in class, which is terrible when I'm called on. I know the answer, but I can't be bothered to give it. I want to say, "If I wanted to answer, I'd have raised my hand," but that's rude, so I don't. Maybe if it was teacher bullying, but then if that was happening, I'd just report them. Instead, I just shrug and shake my head, no I don't know the answer. They sigh and move on. If they'd had me the year before, they'd realize it's just how I am. If they'd kept records on tidbits like that, they'd know it, too. But if they kept those kinds of records, I think I'd be slightly weirded out. I'm sure teachers swap stories, though. I know I would. But I don't think they swap stories about me. I'm honestly not interesting enough to have them swap stories about. I don't mean that in a sideways put down. I'm really not. I do well in school but am not one of those crazy geniuses who's got all the top schools vying for me to attend so they can brag about me. I like to have fun and mess around with friends, but I'm not a fuck up who pulls pranks and is always in detention and one of those "bad apple" types. I try to just be me, and it's not someone outlandish or sporty or exceptionally talented in the arts department. I'm just me. Just average. And I get anti-social sometimes. I think it might be seasonal. Like seasonal depression but not that.
Well, ok, they may now wonder about me since I'm at school, and I'm sure they'll have access to this. But I don't think there's any inappropriate content. It's mostly just me, wasting time on the internet while simultaneously looking up things for a project. I've got a lot of pages printed out, websites noted for any additional need to visit them, lines highlighted, the pages organized, and a vague draft of what I'm writing, so I'd like to think I can use a little of time to ramble aimlessly about nothing important. I even looked through the card catalog on the computer for any relevant books, but the only one they have is checked out right now. I think I'm ahead of most of my classmates at least. Well, I know I'm ahead of quite a few of them if only because of past experiences. But I think this might be another sign of ridiculous winter anti-social tendencies because I opted not to have a partner on this project. There's an odd number of students in the class, and someone was bound to work alone or there'd be a group of three. I volunteered to work alone. It's twice the work, but half the hassle. I don't have to wait for people to get their parts done and deal with the consequences if they don't (which would mostly be me informing the teacher they did nothing on it because I'm not carrying someone and letting them get a grade they don't deserve or having them lower my good grade). I know it's not very "team player" of me, but this is why I don't play sports.
I don't feel well. I think I'm spending the rest of the period in the bathroom.
